These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Budgies (the "Site"). By using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Site.
What Budgies is
Budgies is a deal-intelligence service: we track prices and promotions across participating retailers and affiliate networks, and help you judge whether a deal is genuinely good using price history and other signals. Budgies is not a retailer — we don't sell products, process payments, or fulfill orders. Any purchase you make happens on the retailer's own site, under the retailer's own terms.
Affiliate disclosure
Budgies participates in affiliate programs, including Rakuten Advertising, Skimlinks, and others. When you click certain links on the Site and make a purchase, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. This financial relationship does not influence how we calculate our deal scores or price-history verdicts — where a placement is paid for and not based on our own scoring (for example, a sponsored feature, if and when we offer them), we will label it clearly as sponsored or an ad.
No warranty on pricing or availability
We source prices, availability, and promotional details from retailers and third-party data providers, and refresh them on a regular schedule — not in real time. Prices and availability can change on the retailer's site at any moment, including between our last data refresh and the moment you click through. Our deal scores, "SUS" flags, and buy-or-wait verdicts are informational and reflect our own automated analysis of observed data; they are not a guarantee of the best available price, and they are not financial or purchasing advice. Always verify the price and details on the retailer's own site before completing a purchase.
User-submitted content
If you submit a deal through our community submission feature, you're representing that the information is accurate to the best of your knowledge. We review submissions before they appear publicly and reserve the right to edit, reject, or remove any submission at our discretion, for any reason, without notice. By submitting a deal, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display and distribute that submission on the Site.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from the Site using automated means without our prior written permission
- Interfere with, disrupt, or place undue load on the Site's infrastructure
- Use the Site's affiliate links in a way that violates the terms of the underlying affiliate network
- Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent deal information
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Site not intended for public use
Intellectual property
The Budgies name, logo, and site design are our property. Product names, images, and descriptions displayed on the Site remain the property of their respective retailers and brands, and are used to help you identify and compare products.
Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The Site is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Budgies is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site, including but not limited to purchases made on third-party retailer sites, pricing discrepancies, or reliance on our deal scoring.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll update the "last updated" date above when we do. Continued use of the Site after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
